Joanna Gleason (natural Joanne Halprin in June 2, 1950), is a Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canadian-born Jewish actress, who has been the successful character actor around film, televisiin & on stage.
She starred on the Broadway theatre production of the musical Into the Woods for which she received the Tony Award as Best Actress within the Musical comedy (1988).
